Graham Onions taking 2 wickets with the 1st 2 balls of the day, what a legend!

This game is finely balanced and could easily go either way. From what I keep hearing though the weather is the favourite to come out on top.

I'm thinking this one is heading for a draw and as Rover says the weather coming out on top.

Dream scenario: England take advantage of the fine weather on Day 4 and score 455/6. First 45 mins of day 5 is to have a slog fest and end up 515/9 declared, 252 runs ahead of Australia. England get around 70 overs to skittle The Aussies out and England win by an inns and 20 runs in the final over, Andrew Flintoff ripping the middle stump off Peter Siddle to win the game.
Edgbaston in raptures, The Queen Dethrones herself and makes Andrew Flintoff King of England.

Looks like a draw to me as well...they could try for a big score today and declare then try to bowl them out tomorrow.

Shame after such a great bowling performance from Jimmy & Graham Onions but it looks a draw all the way now.

30 overs to go, great opportunity to get a couple of wickets before the day is out.

Good end to the day with the Aussies 2 down, also some sledging with Broad/Johnson and Anderson/Watson to spice things up.

Jimmy Anderson now gone 52 test innings without a duck. Strauss's form, unlike most who are made captain, does not seem affected by being captain at all & he keeps piling the runs on - with excellent support from the likes of Bell, Freddie & Broad.

The key is getting under Ponting's skin which doesn't require a mastermind - we've done it this Ashes and did it in 2005.

I'd get Sidebottom in for Broad for Headingley, with Trott replacing Flintoff if he's not fit

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/8185339.stmClamping down on the anti-social behaviour such as pitch invasions and being D&D fair enough, but banning the trumpet is a wee-take. Been looking forward to singing Jersualem, GSTQ, Barmy Army etc. Anyone whos fielding next to the Western Terrace is more likely to be a cult hero.

Shellshocked! Absolutely shellshocked! Said to my friends and cricket team-mates yesterday it won't be a worse toss to lose The England batsmen (barring Cook and Prior) were freaking spineless, as if they were obliged to hit every single ball. They seem to forgot that this is a test match and there is the option to leave shots. Wickets were simply thrown away barring Cook who valued his and Onions, well he wasn't even out.
Andy Fogarty, the Headingley groundsman has produced a belter of a pitch. Cardiff, Lords and Edgbaston have been relatively slow and low pitches but the Headingley one had bounce and pace, the early morning dampness certainly got the ball swinging. Full credit for the Aussies for using it to their advantage.
There was screen and tannoy announcements to respect all the players. That request was ignored as Peter Siddle got booed as he fielded on the boundary ropes and Ricky Ponting got booed when he came to bat and eventually got out.
Oh well, back to Headingley again in little over 13 hours time.

The selectors have made a boob IMO. Replacing Flintoff with Harmison is stupid - our batting looks wafer thin and unbalanced. Stuart Broad is a decent number 8, but not a number 7 in a month on Sunday's. Trott should have got the nod - he is averaging over 80 in FC cricket this season after all. And if we didn't pick him, we should have picked Sidearse - Headingley is perfect for a swing bowler like him. That doesn't legislate for this morning though, which was shambolic. The tone was set from the very first ball really, where Strauss was plumb. The highlight of the morning is undoubtably the chat between Warney and Bumble: "So, how did you spend your three days off Bumble?" "I popped over to LA for a few days, checked out the sights......" "LA?!?!?" "Yeah..............Lower Accrington." And as a special bonus......

and the Aussies level the series with an innings victory.
All that dreaming of England regaining The Ashes at Headingley are well and truely crushed. Two positives to take away, Stuart Broad the only player to deliver while Broad and Swanny gained England a little bit of momentum this morning for the final test.
At least the crowd were on form this morning although there was little to celebrate, moments like that make one proud to be English.
Got a bit of video footage of the crowd in the Western Terrace yesterday, currently getting uploaded.
