Yeah well done to the bowlers for allowing 4 of the 8 Aussies who batted to reach three figures.

I think he meant for their batting exploits Tyler lol. Panesar and Anderson were hilarious, the Aussies must have been so weeed off. And Bissy you can't have it both ways - you make the legitimate point that it is the England and Wales Cricket Board and then ask what is " your excuse going to be"?

Harmison recalled. He's in good form at the moment but if the Aussies get after him, will he fall apart?

I don't necessarily disagree with a Test being in Wales but should it have been the first one and on such a flat pitch?

I have no quibble with the test being in Wales. But not the first test but i was at the teams request

I know, but I still don't think an Ashes Test should be there. *bows* May I ask why? Of course. The Ashes is the pinnacle of Test cricket. The Swalec Stadium is not the pinnacle of Test cricket. A nice ground by all means, but not a top Test venue. We have six top Test venues in the country (Lord's, The Oval, Old Trafford, Headingley, Edgbaston and Trent Bridge if you want me to name them) and five Tests - they should be at five of the aforementioned venues. If we're going to be England and Wales, I suppose it's only right that the odd game is in Wales. But they should be some of the lower key games - one of the Tests against the West Indies in May would have been perfect.

When are some of our batters (Pietersen especially) going to learn this is not a personal ego massage, to not hit 500 runs or more after our excellent start yesterday is nothing short of shocking. I'll take the draw now.
Strauss and Cook must be reeling.
