We chased down 395 on the last day to beat Middlesex. We deserve it.

The sun is shining, not a cloud in the sky, it's very warm outside. The pitch is a little belter for batting and the boundary ropes are brought in.
Yorkshire win the toss and Andrew Gale elects to..................field.
Derbyshire smash 222 in their 1st innings. Apart from Patto and McKay, the rest of the bowlers were utter dross. Despite Yorkshire keeping tabs in the early overs and Jacques Rudolph hits 31 off 10 balls, Derbyshire won comfortably.
I was considering in making the trip to Worcester but after the shambolic performance, I don't know if I want to waste petrol money on another no show.

There is nothing better than watching cricket when the sun is out and at it's strongest. Shame Yorkshire got beat against Leicestershire in Twenty20 but at least we're still in the playoffs.

a light smatter of rain here today, and at the kensington oval just, a short (literally) sharp shower, rained for all of 20 seconds, enough to get the people with the covers excited, but waved away by the umpires as it went as quick as it came

Thinking of going to Wantage Road on Friday for the Northants v Yorkshire T20 game. Only if it's nice weather and if Yorkshire beat Lancs in the County Championship.
Can any Northants residents give me advice on free car parking spaces in or around the ground?

Great ODI series win over the Aussies for us even if we lost the 4th one today. Eoin Morgan is a one-man run chasing machine, absolute class act, so naturally talented so fingers crossed they persevere with him in the Test side as well. The current England set-up is very promising and i'm really excited about the future of international English cricket.

With you on that one Luke! Strauss could turn out to be the best ever England captain as, not only does he have the most talented squad for years, he's not lost confidence & his own form. Neither is he afraid to try different ideas in the field - which have a knack of succeeding as well. The bowlers we now have (including young Steven Finn) really look the business with Anderson extremely mean with conceding runs as well as taking wickets. And could Morgan become an even greater stroke player than Pietersen or Vaughn? He's certainly exciting to watch!

Your Middlesex boys certainly seem to be doing the biz on the international stage Stealth. Very true about Strauss as well, in all honesty I wasn't convinced when he first became captain but as you say his form is as good as ever and tactically he's astute. Could we finally beat the Aussies on their own soil for once, you never know... And yeh I reckon the sky's the limit for Morgan, his timing is fantastic and naturally he's a very gifted batsman. On form the thought of him and Pietersen creaming the Aussies to all parts of the ground is mouth watering.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to go down under and come back with the Ashes? Not sure whether we can just yet but at least it's on the cards and not just a dream this time!
