Ian Bell gets the first Championship century of the season for Warks v Somerset. Northants Andrew Hall closd the first day on 95 against Leics and would've reached the milestone first had it not been for the weather

Good match developing between Kent and Northants eh Tyler. In the balance after 2 days, although Kent probably have the upper-hand if anyone does.

Yes it is. Pleasantly surprised.
Our 2 big hitters, Sales and O'Brien are missing for different reasons and we end up having Howgego, making his third start since his debut in 2007, opening and David Willey making his third appearance since bypassing the academy who looks a fantastic prospect.
Our Bowling looks none too clever either, with Wigley and Lucas given the ball, now i've feared for my safety when Wigley has bowled and i believe Lucas managed to pitch it on the square today.

We're inundated with injuries as well, especially on the bowling front, so a good match-up then. When Saggers is still opening the Bowling at 85 years old you know you're in trouble. Hopefully we can push on tomorrow and start to get some of or bowlers back soon.

Despite the fact I live just 7 miles away from Edgbaston and on the same train line, it's a disgrace I've never made it there. Hopefully that will finally change this summer. COME ON WARWICKSHIRE! We're not exactly strong on the bowling front either and haven't been for a while. Batting hasn't tended to be a major problem, but taking twenty wickets in a match seems nigh on impossible for our attack.

Durham posted 362 in their first innings against Yorkshire who are currently 120-3 in their reply.

Draw. monkey'sing good achievement on our part. Got Wanky Lancs on Sunday in the FPT and i also think Anderson could play and Moores is the coach. The autograph hunters would have a field day.

Yeah well played Northants - good draw for your mob and i'm disappointed we couldn't push on for the win.

We beat Glamorgan by 35 runs today in a shortened 39 over game. We scored a round 200 but a fantastic bowling effort from Andrew Hall (4-14 from 6) ensured a win. Bit disappointed with the way we dragged it out though

Kent are going pretty well. We gave Stealth's boys a hammering in the FP yesterday and beat Scotland today, this following a CC victory over Essex despite following-on. Now our bowling attack is back and Key has returned from the England Lions i think we're gonna have a great season.

Wonders will never cease! England actually kick off a summer with a victory at Lords for the first time in a long time (7 years I think) and a convincing one at that. West Indies were, admittedly, poor but you can only beat what's put in front of you and England's bowling, fielding and, to a lesser extent, batting, were all to pretty good standards.

Must have been a lucky result Kent sunk by new Middlesex recordFRIENDS PROVIDENT TROPHY, GROUP B, Canterbury Middlesex 322-5 beat Kent 242 by 80 runs (Middlesex 2pts, Kent 0pts) Eoin Morgan and Nick Compton both hit centuries as Middlesex made their highest FP Trophy score in beating Kent by 80 runs at Canterbury. Morgan (161) and Compton (131) both hit one-day bests and shared a one-day county record third-wicket stand of 277 to ease their side to 322-5. Geraint Jones hit a quickfire 57 and Justin Kemp 69 as the home side attempted to mount a run chase. But they had little other support as Kent were dismissed with 26 balls left.

Is that a spin or fast bowler Tyler?

Graeme Swann is the spinner who got the 50.
He is a Northants boy. Brought up in the area and went to school here, played here then went to Notts.
As i say, his dad is a knob

I watched it on Sky - Kent were awful. We looked jaded after 12 days out of the last 14 playing Cricket but Eoin Morgan was immense, i've rated him for a while now and am delighted he has been called up to the England ODI squad but he was sublime. His invention and reverse sweep shot in particular were brilliant to watch - he is the best reverse sweeper of the ball i have seen bar none. Nick Compton was also impressive but we shot ourselves in the foot with some frankly shambolic fielding including dropping Morgan twice. I still fancy Kent to qualify from the group and Middlesex will miss out following arse-rapings from us and Somerset already. Kent will win CC Div 2 as well 0 you heard it here first!

Well, a pretty successful result against the Windies but, TBH, they were awful. Even Chanderpaul was not up to his usual standard. However, that doesn't completely detract from what were one or two very good individual performances and an overall good team effort by England. James Anderson & Stuart Broad are a pretty awesome (and consistent) attack force and, with Anderson having added an inswinger to his repertoire, he's probably one of the best bowlers in the world right now. The batting strength, when they all play to their best, goes right down the order now with Anderson, despite being 11th having actually gone 47 innings without a duck - and that after often coming in as night watchman.

Anderson has never got a duck in a test match - 47 innings, amazing. Good win for England but the WIndies were absolutely dire; poor bowling and no guts when batting. They were shocking.

Well that's the Windies brushed aside now bring on the Aussies! This should be an excellent series with England in with a serious chance of winning it if they keep up the standards shown against W.I. They have batting strength all the way to 11 with a formidable frontline attack of Anderson & Broad and a number of top quality fielders.

"If you all love Duckworth Lewis clap your hands!" ;D ;D ;D
That was one of the weirdest games of cricket I've ever seen tonight at the County Ground. Two sides playing a Twenty20 as if it was a Test match, floodlight failures, the lot.
