As football fans, we are allowed to like rugby league but not rugby union. I take great pleasure in telling rugby union fans that league is better and more exciting. It's usually at that point that they cannot believe their cauliflower ears and deck me.

I'm currently hunting you down right now Pij preparing to deck you. Union is a great sport.
Unlucky Tiger, i watched the game on sky and the conditions looked a right bastard - kicking was impossible.

You are allowed to like it a bit but not as much as league. Union is more about possession and so is slightly more boring than league. I still follow England in competitions, but I don't like domestic union. Also, the players are funnier in union-Austin Healy, Will Greenwood, Jonathan Davies etc. I prefer league because it is more exciting (like football, it is about scoring. Not holding onto the ball and scoring 1 goal.)

Union isn't about that. It really just boils down to the extra two men on the field in union, there'a a lot less space out there.

Desperation from him - he'll be poo in RL. Cack it when anyone tries to tackle him and to quote the Hamburg Sea Devils coach (NFL Europe team he played for) - "He's quick but he can't catch"!!!! Not looking promising then...

And it just gets worse if you're a Black & White fan ..........RICHARD Horne has been dealt a major blow after picking up a neck injury which will see him miss at least the next two weeks. The Hull FC stand-off left the field in the defeat to Bradford with what the club thought was a dead arm. Following difficulties with his movement over the weekend, Horne was taken to hospital with initial scans showing damage to his neck. The club are unwilling to commit to a time frame for Horne's return at this early stage and the 25-year-old will be sent for further tests later this week to establish the extent of the damage. The news is a big set-back for Horne, who has only just returned from a long-standing foot injury which ruled him out of pre-season and the opening two months of the campaign.

Hull prop Paul King is expected to miss the rest of the season with the broken foot he suffered in last month's 28-28 draw with Catalan Dragons. The 28-year-old has undergone surgery but has been told he faces 18 weeks on the sidelines. Hull already have a lengthy injury list, with brothers Richard and Graeme Horne, Matt Sing, Adam Dykes, Garreth Carvell and Richard Whiting all in the treatment room.

Laydeez and gentlemen, boys and girls, can I have your attention please!
Roll up, roll up for the greatest freak show on earth coming to a stadium near you.
Forget the bearded lady or the two-headed dwarf; this one will totally blow your minds.
Drum roll please as I give to you Dwain Chambers, the drug-cheating disgraced athlete turned rugby league superstar.
Castleford have scooped Chipperfield's and Billy Smart with this one. And it's a sure-fire way to ensure blanket coverage across the nation.
They say that any publicity is good publicity and the Tiger hierarchy seem to be lapping it up. Certainly the timing of the announcement to coincide with the application for Super League licences was "handy".
Rugby league has been held up as a laughing stock, holding open its arms for a disgraced sportsman that has been shunned by just about everyone else.
This is a bloke who hadn't even held a rugby ball until the photo call; a guy whose brief attempt to play American football fell flat when it became clear that he couldn't even catch.
And here are a Super League outfit - albeit the bottom one - bending over backwards to get him on board. What a total joke.
Cas bleated that their hand may be forced because of injuries and they are running desperately short of numbers in their senior squad.
But what ever happened to drafting in one or two youngsters from the academy?
Surely they would offer a lot more than some other sport's misfit who does not even seem that sure of how many players his team should have!
What kind of message is this sending out to kids in the town who live and breathe rugby league?
Yes boys, we know you train twice a week and would kill to put on a Cas jersey for real. But we've got this famous bloke, you see, and he could really do with a game.......
The Chambers charade is turning the sport into a freak show. The Twickenham set will be spluttering with mirth into their G&Ts.
Chambers may only be in Yorkshire for a month's trial - I can't seriously imagine him surviving when someone delivers the first big hit - but the damage has been done.

Phew what a relief
Hull eased the pressure on coach Peter Sharp with a 32-12 win that left Castleford rooted to the foot of the engage Super League tonight. Sharp went into the game feeling the heat after just two wins in the opening 10 games but three tries in the latter stages of the first half made the difference at The Jungle. Craig Hall made the key early break before Scott Wheeldon and Motu Tony followed him over to give the visitors a decisive advantage in the basement battle. Jamie Thackray and Hall then added further scores to ensure injury-ravaged Hull, tipped for the top six at the start of the season, avoided the ignominy of slipping to the bottom. The Tigers went into the game on the back of last week's stunning 30-24 win over St Helens and still basking in the limelight generated by the arrival of Great Britain sprinter Dwain Chambers on trial. Yet both sides seemed to lack confidence early on and Cas, despite the majority of the possession in the opening quarter, were unable to make much headway.

Mostly because it's "practically" fixed every year that Leeds and Saints could meet in the final, so we'll get Wake, you'll get saints

HULL FC prop Garreth Carvell is set to leave the club despite signing a new three-year deal, the Mail can reveal.
Carvell ended months of negotiation by signing on the dotted line at training, having been given a deadline by the club.
But the 28-year-old has angered coach Richard Agar by changing his mind and requesting an end to his seven-year stint with the club.
Despite doing all in their power to keep Carvell at the KC Stadium, FC now look set to release him at the end of the season, freeing up space on the club's salary cap.
Carvell had signed a new three-year-deal worth in excess of £100,000 a year, plus a testimonial season in his third year.
But with the player now claiming he wants to move on to realise ambitions of collecting more silverware, the former Wales and Great Britain star's future has been thrown into uncertainty.
Despite reports of a possible move to St Helens, sources have revealed Wigan and Bradford are more likely destinations. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
monkey'sing wankstain tosspot cuntface arsehole monkey's off then Wigan and Bradford really gonna win silverware aint they? Cos it looks like Hull are the only team in the Challenge Cup semi-final and next season we will bounce back to finish in the top 2 in the league aswell

Both Hull teams are still struggling ......... any chance of a top six finish, play off position, have now gone ........ only Hull FC have something to play for ......... a cup final appearance.
The bragging rights will go to HKR if they win or draw any of the two remaining local derby matches.
Good job there isn't any relegation this season.

Oh ok - good idea imo, results will still be important and you won't be messing with the player's livelihoods. It could also allow more English players to be introduced and will make the quality higher overall i reckon. Nice one.

The reason is so that we can compete with the Aussies instead of getting embarassed every time we play them, imo good idea as it'll mean Hull KR will get kicked out of superleague

Hull have been fined £100,000, £40,000 of which is suspended for 12 months, for fielding an ineligible player in the Challenge Cup. They were punished for playing Jamie Thackery in two games before he was placed on the club's cup roster. Thackery was re-signed from Leeds after the initial 3 March deadline and played in the wins over Rochdale and Widnes. Hull have seven days to appeal after being found guilty of a breach of the Rugby Football League's rules. The prop forward played in Hull's 42-5 fourth-round win at Rochdale on 20 April, but the blunder only came to light after he also appeared in Hull's 32-18 fifth-round win over Widnes. Hull escaped expulsion from this year's competition, but when the incident first came to light the RFL said the breach was a "very serious matter" and suggested that the competition's rules would be tightened up to prevent a reoccurrence. The east Yorkshire club are due to play Wakefield in the Challenge Cup semi-final at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium on 27 July for a place in the final against either Leeds or St Helens at Wembley.
What the RFL are not telling anyone is that the team sheets were put in the day before and the player infringement was not picked up .... tossers
