I watched "Anita and Me" the other night about an indian girl growing up in the West Midlands who is desperate to fit in.. good watch, but the accents were cringe worthy even though I hear them everyday!

The Final Patient - Garbage. How this film ever made it past the cutting room floor I'll never know it was slow moving, of no interest, poorly acted and dismal.
If you ever see this looming give it a bodyswerve.

Finally got round to watching Enemy of the State. Great concept (very topical for Britain if not the States) & loads of chases/action scenes.

So it's worth seeing then? Not usually the case with remakes.

I would say so personally, I admit that remakes are usually poo but I thought this one was particularly funny.
Don't ever see the Johnny Depp remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - that's bloody awful.

The worst one of all for me though was The Italian Job. You just can't remake an absolute classic. Especially not when substituting Yanks for Brits & L.A. for Rome!

I can't see how they can call it "The Italian Job" when it wasn't even in Italy. Wasn't it called something like "The Italian Job: L.A. Heist"?

No - they just called it The Italian Job Pij. Didn't even have the decency to warn people by saying Part 2 or something!

Some remakes are usually OK - but as I stated earlier just never watch Johnny Depp's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Oompa Loompa's were just demented and the film on a whole was just a big joke. Johnny Depp didn't look his usual great looking self either, he looked a bit like a child molester to be honest with you.

That was another film that shouldn't have been remade anyway, I think. The original with Gene Wilder was a very good film - if not a classic.

I agree with you Stealth, the original Charlie and Chocolate Factory is a classic.

30 Days Of Night - Horror movie set in the Northernmost Alaskan town where the sun doesn't rise for 30 days, most people leave town but those who don't are attacked by vampire zombie type things.
Quite well done with a little twist at the end.
Average.

its not a film but me and my mum are wroking our way through the 3 prison break series. So far we are on the 10th episode of the 2nd series. Ive watched the 1st and 2nd series on tv but didn't watch the 3rd so im looking forward to seeing that one.
Prison break imo is one of the best tv series.

I've seen season 1 & 2, not sure how they would spin it out to a third. from the adverts ive seen in the 3rd they get put into a different prison, one where the prisoners run the place. but obviously i can't comment yet because i haven't seen it. but there is a 4th according to wiki which states it will be shown in september of this year but wether that is in the US or over here i don't know.

The Talented Mr.Ripley.......needs a second watching.... Read the book instead Bismarck, clever and well-written. Agree totally about The Italian Job - what a pooe remake, the original is a classic and should never be tampered with.s

Blood Diamond - A good film this which manages to avoid most of the cliches whilst examining the diamond trade from conflict zones in Africa. De Caprio plays the part convincingly and the ending is not what you might expect.
