Portsmouth have failed in a bid to land Yakubu, despite offering fellow striker David Nugent to Middlesbrough, plus £5m. (Various) So wait, they spent £6m on him and now want to offload him? You know what, i'm actually starting to believe that this ridiculous rumour could actually be true, which is intersting. There's another rumour in there saying he's coming to Derby for 4.5 million, which is stupid in Pompey's point of view, because he's played 3 bloody games. It's also in various newspapers so it might well be true, i'm still unsure though.

How old is he He's 33, but can still do a very good job, but i think we might sell him in a deal yes, because he's not really up to the pace of the Prem if you know what i mean?

Vassell ponders switch to Derby Darius Vassell Vassell won 22 caps when Eriksson was England manager Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson is waiting to hear whether out-of-favour striker Darius Vassell has decided to join Derby County.
The 27-year-old has not even been a substitute for City this season.
"It is a fact that Derby are interested in Darius but I have not heard any results," said Eriksson. "I should find out more soon."
Vassell has scored 15 goals in 77 games for City since joining them in a £2m move from Aston Villa in 2005.
Eriksson, who gave Vassell 22 caps during his time as England manager, has embarked on a massive spending spree since taking charge at Eastlands.
Vassell featured in City's pre-season programme but now appears to be surplus to requirements.

Wouldn't be a bad signing for the Rams, it'll be interesting to see what Olly thinks. They definitely need to bolster their strikeforce, as it looks very weedy at the moment!!1

Howard and Earnshaw seem to be misfiring but they're good players!
Alan Pardew has told Amady Faye that he is free to leave Charlton before the window closes if his mind is elsewhere.
The Addicks midfielder is a target for Birmingham City and the player's agent Willie McKay has hinted that his client is disappointed that a move has so far failed to materialise.
Pardew senses that Faye's mind is not on his game and says he will sell him and draft a replacement in if he wants to go.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!
