Believe the lazy waste of space ones, oh and he walks like an Egyptian! Also you would have been better off buying this lad for the same amount of money and look who has done; "Newcastle have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Manchester United for England striker Alan Smith. The Magpies are in talks with the 26-year-old, who has been linked to a host of Premiership clubs, and it is believed the deal is worth £6m. "

Even so my days been brightened up because Joey Barton is going to face charges of assault.

Not many good young ones about I guess, most of the dominant ones in the Premiership are over 30 VDS, Lehman, Jasskalinen, Friedel, James with Cech being the exception. I suppose it's supply and demand, afraid I was brought up in an era when most Scottish keepers were dodgy, hope for Sunderland's sake that this one isn't!

I suppose it's supply and demand, afraid I was brought up in an era when most Scottish keepers were dodgy, hope for Sunderland's sake that this one isn't! Well i don't think he is. All neutral pundits and fans who know what they are talking about say that the lad is class. It's only bitter Aston Villa fans, Mags and Celtic fans with their Boruc tinted spectacles on who say otherwise. Many commentators and pundits say he is very agile, has superb reactions and handling ability. The only critiscism is that he doesn't command his back four as well as he could, but that will come with more experience. Plus our back four won't need that much commanding with the fearless Macca at the back.

Saints set to sign Thomas
Saints are on the verge of completing the signing of Wayne Thomas from Burnley.
The Clarets this morning confirmed reports that a £1.2m fee had been agreed for the 28-year-old centre half and added they expected the transfer to be completed today.
Thomas, a former Burnley captain, can line up both in the centre of defence and at right-back and wfits Burley's need to shore up his ranks after watching Saints concede six goals in their opening two games of the season.
Thomas had five successful years at Stoke before ex-Potters boss Steve Cotterill won the race for his signature in 2005.
His first season as a Burnley player was ruined by two serious injuries, first tearing his knee ligaments and then, after a surprisingly quick recovery, breaking his second metatarsal bone.
But he was made club captain when the 2006/07 season kicked off, although indiscipline on the field with two early red cards and some uncharacteristic mistakes forced a change of leadership this February with new signing Steven Caldwell taking over.
Burley's need for a new defender has been heightened by Darren Powell's suspension and Claus Lundekvam's ongoing injury problems.
Lundekvam is still awaiting results of a scan on his ankle before being given the green light to resume training.
But he said today: "At the moment, I don't really know what will happen. Hopefully we should find out more today.
"I went up to London yesterday for a second scan but we don't have the full report yet."

Saints in talks with Diawara
Southampton boss George Burley has flown in St.Etienne full back Fousenni Diawara for talks about a free transfer move.
Diawara, 27, has been angling for a move to England over the past few months and is willing to come to Saints for a short spell in a bid to clinch a contract.
Burley is looking for new blood on a limited budget and may even throw Diawara in for a quick debut this weekend.

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is ready to splash out £5m on Southampton striker Kenwyne Jones. Hands off Keane, he's ours!!! I don't want him particularly, i don't mind either way though. RK knows about these things more than i do. Sunderland have been linked with two left backs. Ian Harte who has been released by Levante and Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus. Whilst i would prefer Chiellini to Harte, it looks as if Juventus will reject any offers that come their way.

Wouldn't be a bad signing for you but i rather we kept him. If you do sign be prepared for him to go missing/get injured when things get tough. However he is quick, got a trick or two has an awesome first touch and cos he was an Arsenal trainee he can play equally well with both feet. He came on for the second half today, whereas people about to leave normally don't play.
