Barcelona are lining up an £85m summer bid for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney - and believe the Old Trafford club's huge debts mean they would consider the offer. Full story: News of the World
Would Rooney himself want to go though?
Tottenham's £14m striker Roman Pavlyuchenko will return to Spain in January, with Valencia favourites to sign the Russian. Full story: Sunday Mirror
Return? Must have been there on holiday then as he's never played in Spain!

Spanish giants Barcelona are tracking Tottenham and England striker Jermain Defoe, 27, who has scored 15 goals already this season. Sunday Express Interesting rumour but I really can't see that. Tottenham are lining up a £10m bid for West Ham defender Matt Upson with Alan Hutton going the other way. Full story: The People That sounds more realistic although I wouldn't be "over the moon" about getting Upson. Nottingham Forest manager Billy Davies is keen to bring Michael Dawson back to the City Ground from Tottenham, along with his team-mate Gareth Bale. Full story: Sunday Mirror We're more likely to sell White Hart Lane than Michael Dawson - a brilliant no nonsense defender who is unbeatable in the air and always gives everything.

After the Michael Owen mini saga this summer, it would make sense that another Real Madrid player to embrace his former club’s bitterest rivals. In this instance one, R. van Nistelrooy, former ambassador of the Lord Ferg’s Empire of Salford...

There are some rumours that Utd are lining up a £25m bid for Tottenham's Luka Modric. This, IMO, would be a great signing. There is nobody in the centre of midfield anymore who I would definetly have in my team sheet at the moment. Apart from Scholes, who may, unfortunatley be retiring at the end of this season, there is nobody. Fletcher maybe. Modric would be a great addition.

I agree that it would be a brilliant signing for Man U. Shame it's not going to happen.

1020 BST: Manchester United are preparing a £50m offer for Tottenham duo Luka Modric and Gareth Bale.
Bet they would love to get their hands on both of them but Bale turned them down for us & Luka has already said he loves it at Spurs so hopefully last night will have persuaded ALL our players to stay a bit longer.

Well Gareth Bale is definitely staying - he's just signed a new 4 year contract.
Brilliant!

Tottenham are considering an £18m bid for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano as manager Harry Redknapp targets a world-class forward to boost the club's chances in the Champions League next season.

At £18m I'd say that's a pretty good buy based on today's prices for strikers. Since being at Sevilla he's managed roughly one goal every two matches. Wonder who, other than Robbie, will be making way for him?

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly met with Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Miami, to discuss a potential move to Stamford Bridge. Full story: IMScouting
Hope this is true as it will weaken them considerably. Couldn't understand why Barca swapped E'too for him and no way could he replace Drogba or Anelka. Bit like signing Shevchenko although he, at least, had a great pedigree.

Manchester City will present a final £27m bid to Aston Villa for midfielder James Milner but the Midlands club are holding out for £30m. Full story: Daily Star
If Milner is worth £27/30m what the hell are Luka, Lennon & Bale worth?
German side Wolfsburg are ready to spend up to £20m to take Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov away from Manchester United. Full story: Footylatest.com
Tottenham are preparing a £16m bid for Porto's Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. Full story: Footylatest.com
This guy has a phenomenal strike rate (River Plate 86 goals in 115 appearances, Porto 25 in 28) and is still only 24. However, although he is two footed, at 5'9" I rather imagine he doesn't score many with his head and I wonder what hia hold up play is like?
Former Liverpool favourite Robbie Fowler believes Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is the ideal man to take over at Anfield following Rafael Benitez's departure. Full story: The Sun
He's almost certainly right but why would Harry take a step backwards?

I'd say you're right. Liverpool, at this stage, would be a step backwards. However, now that the top four has been broken into, it could all change next season.
Its all a moot point though. Fact is, Harry will want to continue with Spurs.

I think Ben, if things continue to go well, Harry will probably retire from Spurs. He's pretty much said so already & he definitely will not move anywhere that takes him away from his beloved Sandbanks. Besides, he'd be walking away from a hugely talented squad to start with virtually nothing at Liverpool - whether we stay in the Top 4 or not.

West Ham are lining up goalkeeper Richard Wright, who was told in April he would not be offered a new deal by Ipswich, to succeed England's Robert Green, who they hope to sell this summer to help alleviate the club's debt. Full story: Daily Mail
After this World Cup they'll have lost millions on Green!
Inter Milan are reportedly chasing Tottenham defender/winger Gareth Bale and are ready to offer midfielder Sulley Muntari in a part-exchange deal. Full story: IMScouting
At least Muntari is a top player but he's still not in the same class as Bale - who is still only 20!
