I've also learnt that it is near enough impossible to grab a free Alliance & Leicester consultant. I need to activate my debit card you wankers! Aren't they owned by Santander the same as Abbey? If so, it's always going to be Manana if Abbey are anything to go by.

The worldwide satellite industry is worth £250 billion & the largest player by far is an Anglo-French consortium. The latest communications satellite launched cost £3.5 billion & will last for just 15 years.
The British eat 26 million eggs per day. Wonder how much we shell out for that lot?

I learned about the inner workings of the kidney.
Nephrons are fascinating things that contain some convoluted tubes. Fitting really, considering the number of convoluted names associated with these little centres of water absorbtion.

I learned that there is a strange satisfaction in poring over books about fascism in the school library for an hour before finally finding a post-revisionist view about Mussolini's March on Rome.
Much more interesting than the internet, internet's over-rated...

In 2006 over 1,000,000 mortgages (nearly 10% of the total) were granted on multiple of six times or more of peoples incomes. 40,000 were granted on multiples of ten times or more. And they wonder why people are defaulting?

No such thing as a cheap garage bill nowadays is there? Trouble is, there's no alternative either as they're all so computerised.

I've learnt I've started to become rather disorientated with French A-level. I can't cope with being a grammar Nazi for two languages.

I've learnt that preferential treatment exists in my family. My sister asks to go to the bank or the shops and they're soon driving her up there, I ask if I can have something simple like a KFC and I'm told to monkey's off (in so many words). Wankers.

That Gordon Brown is an absolute master of the stealth tax - and doesn't care who they hurt. Under the guise of the new "green" Road Fund Tax 33% of cars will be taxed at a a lower rate. 44% will be paying more. By 2010 the better off will have reduced to 20%.
The worse off will be owners of older cars - and guess who mostly owns them?
The world record for the lowest average fuel consumption on a journey has just been set by a Peugeot 308 at a phenomenal 90.7mpg.
