Welcome to RHF: In The Spotlight. I am Wolvensam, your brand new host (despite having featured a few times) due to Fezzybabes having real life commitments. The questions asked are interesting, crazy, whacky, serious, personal, intimate, and some are just downright rude!
The member gracing the hotseat today is Sunderland fan HallMackem, fondly known as Ben.
HallMackem in action:
Personal:
What is your name?
Ben Hall.
How old are you?
17
Which city/town/village do you currently live in?
Middle Herrington, a village just south west of Sunderland.
Tell us one thing we don't know about you?
It says Ben Robson on my Birth certficate.
Have you got an "Other Half"?
No.
What school do you go to?
City of Sunderland College: Bede Sixth Form Academy.
What subjects do you study and what are your favourite ones?
I study Biology, Chemistry and English Language. Biology is my favourite by a long way.
What is your Goal in life?
I don't really have one. I'd like a nice family and to keep on learning until my faculties fail me.
On a superficial note i'd like to have Dr. in front of my name eventually. Whether that will be a Phd or Medicine degree remains to be seen, if it happens at all.
What is your favourite:
Band?
Tough one but i'll say The Futureheads.
Album?
Tones of Town by Field Music. A wonderful piece of work.
Film?
Probably Pulp Fiction, although I love Control.
TV Programme?
Easy one, Hustle
Dinner Guest?
Jimmy Page, so that I could ask what the frig he was taking when he was writing 'Houses of the Holy'.
Meal?
Panacalty. Details and recipe on request.
Celebrity partner?
Keira Knightley, she may be an ironing board with a face but what a face it is.
Football:
Who is your favourite Sunderland player ever?
Niall Quinn. Wearside legend and he loves the place too.
Who is your favourite current Sunderland player?
Andy Reid, because he's very talented.
What was your first football match? Score? Where was it? ect
I was lucky enough to see a game at Roker Park before it was knocked down. It was against Oldham and we won although I can't remember the score.
Your favourite Sunderland memory?
The 'Roker Roar'.
Your worst Sunderland memory?
The then worst ever Premiership season.
Opposition player you love to despise?
Joseph Barton. Used to be Shearer.
Best goal you've ever seen live?
Carlos Edwards vs. Coventry a couple of seasons ago, absolute screamer.
Worst blunder you've ever seen live?
None really stick out... odd considering I'm a Sunderland supporter.
Do you play for a team yourself? Who are they? What league are you in?
I used to play for my school and a few Sunday league teams as a fullback.
Now I play Rugby for Sunderland RFC, College and will shortly be training with the University team.
RHF:
Why did you join RHF?
I was on another forum that sort of became extinct. Olly was also a member there and was advertising so I joined.
Who is your favourite RHF member and why?
You're all wonderful. But i'll say Bismarck or Luke as thanks for our epic debates.
What is your favourite thread on RHF?
The thread I created regarding a certain hat.
In a fight to the death between you, Bismarck, Luke and Stealth, who would come where and why?
Probably Bismarck would win. I'm both foolhardy and fairly lightweight, Luke and Stealth strike me as pacifists.
Questions from the Members:
If your band has a chance to become famous, would you abandon your education and go for it?
No. I do it for enjoyment, not any promise of fame. If I had to be here and there at this time and that time I think I'd stop enjoying it.
Have you ever considered joining a debating society?
Yeah I have. Perhaps in University I will.
Who do you consider to be your intellectual equal on RHF?
I can't really answer this without sounding arrogant can I?
There are some very clever people on here... more than your average football forum, and many of them are more intelligent than me.
What are your current plans for the future?
Bsc in Biology, then who knows...
Why RHF?
Want of a better forum I suppose... joking!
It's full of wonderful people.
You have a very varied musical taste but most peoples earliest musical influence is their parents. Is that where you get you wide taste from?
Sort of. I like some similar music to my parents but neither have quite the range of tastes that I do.
You have said in a couple of the posts that you are not particularly a Kaiser Chiefs or Queen fan. To my mind they are both anthemic rock bands with very charismatic front men & good/great musicians so what particularly do you not like?
Kaiser Chiefs talented? No chance. I just don't like either band, is that alright?
You obviously have a great interest in science so what branch of science (other than medicine) do you consider to have had the greatest benefit for mankind so far and, what will in the future?
No Science can stand alone, they're very much interdependent. Chemistry probably has the most influence of all the Sciences, with Maths a close second.
Should Vegetarians eat animal crackers?
They should grow up. Especially the ones with religious motivation.
If a funeral procession is at night, do you drive with your lights off?
I've honestly never seen a funeral procession at night... maybe the lights were off.
If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is he homeless or naked?
He's dead.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?
Since when was a personality a person?
Would a fly without wings be called a walk?
No, i've done that and it was still a fly.
What is the air velocity of an unladen swollow?
African or European?
Where do you think Sunderland will finish this season?
I reckon lower mid-table.
Roy Keane, your thoughts?
Could be a great manager, needs to keep his thoughts to himself sometimes.
