Roberto Martinez was saying on Sky Sports News that the transfer window should finish before the start of the football season, to prevent players being unsettled. His comments come from Birmingham City repeatedly showing interest in Charles N'Zogbia and making bids. In the end a transfer fee was agreed but Charles couldn't agree personal terms.
Do you agree with the opinion of Martinez?

Completely. Any manager worth his salt must know where he needs to improve by the end of the previous season so two & a half months to get targets in should surely be enough?

i do totally agree earlier closure, less squad unrest etc
but, is the transfer window actually needed, i know the media love the last day of the window frenzi, good managers should be able to manage players regardless of weather they have been there since time began or a late aquasition
