Champions Southampton went out of the 1st round with a 3-0 defeat to Swindon Town. A few League Two teams beating League One opposition:-
Torquay beating Bournemouth on pens after a goal-less draw Shrewsbury winning 1-0 at Oldham Port Vale with a 2-1 win over Rochdale Accrington Stanley winning on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Tranmere Chesterfield winning 2-1 at Walsall

Round 2 of the JPT has been made
SECOND ROUND DRAW
Northern section (west): Accrington v Stockport Macclesfield v Crewe Bury v Shrewsbury Carlisle v Port Vale
Northern section (east) Burton v Rotherham Hartlepool v Bradford Sheffield Wednesday v Chesterfield Huddersfield v Peterborough.
Southern section (west) Bristol Rovers v Aldershot Swindon v Torquay Cheltenham v Plymouth Hereford v Exeter
Southern section (east) Colchester v Wycombe Leyton Orient v Brentford MK Dons v Charlton Barnet v Southend
Although the idea of splitting the groups into regional areas to save travel time, Port Vale have a 150 mile trip to Carlisle while Peterborough have a 125 mile trip to Huddersfield, Plymouth a 155 mile trip to Cheltenham.
Interesting the Northern Section West has only one League One in the draw (Carlisle)
