That is how much Darren Ferguson thinks Preston North End keeper Andy Lonergan is news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/preston/8839769.stmSeen him play on several occasions and Lonergan is a quality keeper, arguably the best outside top flight football. A very vocal keeper, his distribution and control of the 6 yard box is nothing short of excellence and can pull off some brilliant last minute saves to keep PNE in the match. If Lonergan was playing top flight football, he would be inundated with calls to be in the England team.

from what ive seen of him im quite suprised he isnt playing top flight football, and no doubt could have that US goal
£20m is a bit excessive, but Darren clearly doesnt want to sell him, fine, but there will come a time when Andy will think, I could be playing top flight here, and then run the risk of losing him on a free
the world of transfers and football eh, then again in a few years time when the 6+5 rule is fully under way, ANY good english goalkeeper could be worth £20M as they are like gold dust
