I shall approach the future with an open mind even though I do find myself recoiling at the sight of a Tory standing on the steps of 10 Downing Street. I suspect this arrangement will not be good for the Lib Dems but time will tell. I look forward to getting rid of ID cards and a move towards a more proportional voting system.
As for Labour. Well the rush towards the coronation of David Miliband, a well known NuLab enthusiast, needs to be countered strongly. I suspect there are a lot of people feeling a little disenfranchised by this centre-right coalition that will be looking for a place to go and for Labour to continue moving right is not an option.

Well, I can forget being a Doctor now, can't I...
Give him a week. He'll have screwed it up somehow by then.

I hope the Lib Dems maintain their opposition of the Digital Economy Bill once parliament resumes. How a hasty bill, which is widely opposed by MPs, let alone the ISPs is beyond me.

I just hope the Lib Dems are strong enough to get through their taxation policies which are a good start towards shifting the onus from the poor & lower middle class towards the rich. A tax on holiday homes is a brilliant idea.

A tax on holiday homes is a brilliant idea. Definitely, if it isn't getting used then it's most likely to be rented out. Say if a holiday home somewhere in Cornwall generated £30,000 in revenue, how much tax is currently received?

Lib Dems will lose a lot of support in the next election....oh thats 5 years away.....Cameron has stitched us up, a minority government should be able to be taken down by the other parties if this coalition doesn't work but 55% needed for a vote of no confidence.....only 53% of parliament from the rest of the parties
Cameron=Wanker

Right now it's all friendly and jovial...and we're feeling that energy. But there is an undertone that is no different. Already we're seeing policies being reneged upon, and what of proportional representation? It's now being put to the vote? Do they believe the system won't change then? That the public will vote for more of the same? Of course! The three parties are but one and the same. I'd give anything for a government that represents the people. But we'll never have that. It's the same all over the world. Power and greed prevail...but I'll keep looking for the good in all because it is actually there somewhere. Myself included.
