Struggling Peterborough United have terminated the contract of manager Mark Cooper after just 13 games in charge.
Championship bottom club Posh have won just once since Cooper took over from Darren Ferguson on 14 November. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/peterborough_united/8491260.stm------------------------------------------------------------ Very strange to sack a manager on transfer deadline day. If Peterborough wanted Championship survival so bad, then they should've appointed a more prolific manager when there was more games left and an opportunity to buy players.

I hadn't heard that before - absolutely crazy! What can the new manager do to improve things now?

Things don't appear to be so rosy at Peterborough if this statement has anything to go by and MacAnthony appears to be frustrated with recent events and rumours. www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~1943993,00.html Jim Gannon is such an outspoken person that he might cause some further unrest, but if he can get everyone singing from the same hymn sheet then Peterborough should be fine, even if they are relegated to League One.
