Football League fans across England will be given unparalleled access to their teams from early next year with a new Monday night regional magazine show called Late Kick Off.
The programme will have a different version in each of seven regions allowing the focus to remain on the clubs local to that area and offering fans more in depth coverage behind-the-scenes of the teams, players, managers and backroom stories.
The show, which starts on 18 January 2010 on BBC One at 11.15pm, will get right to the heart of local football with a mix of discussion, opinion, interviews and match analysis.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Anyone remember Soccer Night Extra on Thursday nights on ITV? Probably something in the lines of that but I hope they show more football, only discuss the goings on in the football league and most importantly Andy Townsend doesn't present the show.

Great news - and Townsend definitely won't be on it as it's on BBC.

With Britain freezing over, there won't be much in the way of football to be shown.

Been on for about 6 weeks now and find it a very good watch, a lot more emphasis on content than actual discussion which is very refreshing.
Tonight on the Yorkshire version we have Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins doing his UEFA pro licence, as well as Adkins getting interview there is Trevor Brooking and Steve McClaren. The goals are also not blink and miss and no irrelevant debate to fill airtime, i.e. John Terry/Wayne Bridge and the Shawcross tackle.
