Evans showed a lot of sympathy didn't he? The poor fan was K.O.'d!

I went to a Preston match last year, think it was Cardiff and the PNE sub keeper was practicing kicks with the coach. Meanwhile in the Pavillion there was this young lad, about 12-13 who was sitting on the advertising board with his back facing the pitch.
Then a goal kick bypassed the coach at full pelt and smacked the kid on the head. An almighty gasp in the crowd and the kid had no idea what happened. However the PNE keeper ran to apologise and later gave him a t-shirt and his boot bag containing gloves, a towel and a bottle of water.
Another video of a Bradford fan who got hit by a rogue ball at Gillingham a few years ago, think that was by former keeper Russell Haworth.

Nice reaction by the PNE goalie Henry.

Yeah, vs Huddersfield the other week! Well actually, I reacted just in time, the subs were warming up before the game, and a stray shot came my way, but, using my cat-like refleces ( ) I got my hands in the way!

WIPE OUT!!!! Id hate to be hit by a football.. anyone been hit by one at a match before? I ducked out the way at McDons last season from a Giles Coke shot in the warm up, smacked the woman behind me square on the face. He went up to apologise though. Shame the little wanker couldn't ever hit the correct target. David Rowson hit a woman square on after rifling one behind the goal in a half time practice

I got struck by a stray ball at Rossendale on Monday. There I was basking in the glorious sunshine, watching the Rochdale Res players play 5-a-side and then a ball went smack on the left side of my face at full pelt with my neck moving to the right at impact, didn't see it coming at all. As soon as I was thinking where did that ball come from, I heard a cry of Sorry at the other side of the pitch and saw a goalkeeper stick his hand up so I gave him the nod (think it was Paul Rachubka, gutted I didn't get his gloves or matchball ) Surprisingly it didn't hurt, just a sting on the cheeks but it was the shock that rattled me more than anything so off I went for a cup of sweet tea.
