Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has been sacked - with the club fourth in the table and bidding for promotion.news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/middlesbrough/8317621.stmSomething must have behind the scenes otherwise it defies logic Why sack a manager who is one point behind from 1st place? If there was a time to sack Gareth then it should've been last season.

General consensus seems to be that the Boro fans don't like Southgates style of football and are voting by their feet, which is fair play in that respect.
I'm not sure if Strachan is the long term solution for Middlesbrough. He might have done well with Celtic but the only opposition he had was Rangers. Middlesbrough are up against several other teams to gain promotion to the premiership.

Sorry Henry he done VERY well with us, inlcuding beating Man Utd, AC Milan ad quite a few others to take us to the last 16 of the CL twice...not bad at all.
