Despite this arguably being the worst Cobblers side I have seen in my whole 12 years of supporting the club, without a goal, with no tactical nouse from a manager who needs to be sacked and an inevitable defeat, I am heading off all the way to Accrington for a Tuesday night game.
So people, am I mad or loyal?

Loyal. The season is young and despite overwhelming evidence suggesting you will lose, you still have hope that your team will win and have a good season - it's inevitable. Still, you are a super fan though Fez, Accrington on a Tuesday night is dedication.

Good on you Fez - thick or thin is what being a supporter is about.

A 300+ mile round trip to a poohole on a Tuesday night has a romantic side to it. Will be worth it in the end when Northampton get the 3pts.

Ben Marshall is out injured now though. How do we get so many injuries!?? Do we take them onto Takeshi's Castle for training!! Anyway, Marshall is the only one who looks like doing something, or even appears to give a damn. We are screwed. Still, at least I get to have chips and gravy, not had that in a while!

Here's a picture to prove my loyalty... matchpics.fotopic.net/p60379678.htmlBy the way, a 3-0 win, and it was the first time I'd enjoyed myself at a Cobblers match since April. There were still problems though, if we were playing anyone decent we would have lost as Accy missed 3 open goals, hit the woodwork twice and missed a penalty. But we took our chances, so there's no arguing with the result. Still look a bit shaky but we at last showed a bit of passion and enthusiasm. I'm not going to treat it as a turning point, it's 1 game out of 3 where we have done our jobs. But hopefully, if we start showing commitment in ALL of our games, the results will turn round. Good win, but not a turning point yet.

Gotta agree. Some of our fans are right nerds.
I went to a pre season game (god knows why. i was desperate for some KFC) and we sat near the away fans where our lot tend to be noisy.
I thought i was back in primaryt school with some of the 'insults' being hurled around by some pre pubescent cockheads

Down to a tee.
At Cheltenham we were in amongst this group of chavs with one kid who was telling people what he was going to do so that they'd join in. He'd might aswell have passed round a sheet of paper with a running list

I do agree, we have some right nerdy fans, although I only ever see them at away games. I dont count myself in the nerd category either. I'm not sure what I'm doing in that photo, probably shouting at Paul Rodgers fluffing a clearance back into our own penalty box

And we did sing in the first half, but they were all over us in the second half and we were wondering if we were going to hang on. It was only until the third went in I felt relatively comfortable to stop worrying and enjoy it again.
