news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/notts_county/8201444.stmNotts County have signed Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel on a five-year deal for an undisclosed fee believed to be a club record. Interesting to see how much County paid for and how much Kasper is on. It's a great signing, one that will command a sizeable transfer fee later on but one can't help thinking if Kasper could easily play at a higher level than the basement division. Then again Kasper will be guaranteed 1st team football, which he stood no chance at Man City with Shay Given and Joe Hart competing for the no1 jersey.

They are going to absolutely obliterate League Two this season.
Also rumours of Sol Campbell going there.
Amazing.

He's way to good for this division, but this is definitely an investment for the future, as keepers dont make as much of a difference at this level as they do higher up.

I was shocked when I heard this but I guess Schmichael must believe they are going places to drop that low.

Good luck in Kasper trying to compete for the no1 jersey with Russell Hoult. Although having said, I'd happily have Russell Hoult on loan than Simon Eastwood the c**t.
