I was randomly searching through all my families old computer stuff, and found some games that I had played as a wee 8 year old, Lion King, Toy Story, Abidoo... and one of them I was delighted to find was FIFA 99. I loaded it up onto my laptop last night and it was a joy to remember just how good that game was.
SO the question i'm asking all of you gamers out there, what is the best football game ever? Not through fantastic graphics or realism ect, just based on pure enjoyment.

FIFA 04. The first game to have English lower leagues. Absolutely classic. True, but I was also disappointed with the basic lack of research they had done on the Football League. For example, our best defender Ian Sampson, was listed as a keeper and our keeper at the time, Luke Weaver, was listed as a striker! Then one of our black players was white, the list goes on ect. If you're going to do it, do it properly, and luckily since then they have. Although the introduction of Off The Ball was wicked, i'll grant you that

Championship Manager 3 was an absolutely sensatonal game - the first time I played on a football management game, I was only like 9 or 10 but loved it. I don't think I have been more upset by a piece of gaming news than when I heard Eidos and Sports Interactive had split and were making separate games.
The Football Manager series is immense but I still maintain that if the split hadn't happened the game that Eidos and SI would have produced together by now would be unreal making the likes of FM 08 and 09 pale into insignificance. Eidos and SI - the greatest gaming partnership ever, bar none.

Fifa 98 for being able to choose players to play for England and for scoring goals by clean tackling the goalkeeper and putting the ball in the net.

No idea. I know that CM were doing an offer where you chose what to pay for the 2010 game. I'll try and find the link.

Think that offer is on their website but its a £2.50 admin charge..which on the basis of their other games is £2.49 overpriced!

I'd put money on the Championship Manager website crashing within minutes of the release date because so many people will be downloading the game.
