www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10266~1743212,00.html Bradford City manager Stuart McCall is set to bolster his midfield on the eve of the new campaign by signing experienced Huddersfield Town midfielder Michael Flynn.
The Newport native has agreed a one-year deal with the Bantams and will complete the move once paperwork at the Galpharm Stadium is completed.
Once the deal is finalised, Flynn, 28, will go straight into McCall's squad for Saturdays curtain-raiser at Notts County.
The midfielder already has recent experience of League 2 football after a loan spell with Darlington last season.
After spells with home town club Newport County and Barry Town, Flynn moved to England and joined Wigan Athletic in 2002.
Flynn spent three years at Wigan, during which time he featured in a loan spell at Blackpool, before moving south to join Gillingham.
Upon his arrival at the Priestfield Stadium, Flynn became an instant fans favourite with the Gills faithful and integral member of their first team squad.
In his final season with Gillingham, Flynn was named as club captain and finished as their top scorer.
During the summer of 2007, Flynn signed with Blackpool for his second spell at Bloomfield Road, before moving onto Huddersfield Town the following season.

Finding centre midfield replacements for Furman, Law and McLaren have been a struggle but this is an amazing signing. A prolific player who has done well at the clubs he's been, even getting legendary status at Gillingham. Hopefully Flynn can bring some steel into the middle of the park.
Feeling a bit more confident about Citys chances of promotion with this coup.
