County or 'Shagger' Sven Stealth?

'Shagger' Gerry. The only swede he'll be pulling in Nottinghamshire will be in the ground next to the turnips.

If Shagger has fallen I'm sure Pele can point him in the right direction

Has Pele been up to something I've missed then?

I know Pele advertised Viagra a couple of years ago which i think is a greater fall than Notts County, although maybe not...

He'd be just the man to stiffen their defence then!

Eriksson reckons he can get County to the Premier League...
But this secures it. In Nottingham next year i am going along to a few Notts County games, i was leaning towards them over Forest and this is the clincher.

Have you secured digs yet Luke and, if so, which ground is nearest?

Notts County have rightfully taken the team to win tag. Good luck to them in acheiving promotion this season because League Two is an awful league to get out of as opponents will raise their game and make it awkward.
It's a concern that there are more foreign consortiums are getting involved in the beautiful game and they're now looking at the football league. What are the potential foreign consortiums looking at as they show an interest in buying football league clubs?
Championship football is attended by more fans than the 2nd tier European Leagues and more than Serie A and Portugese top flight. The Football League is the backbone of English football and is what made football the national sport and an instiution. Do the consortia see that there is massive potential in the Football League and the Premiership has reached saturation point? Or do the consortia are interested in plans of expanding the Premier League?
Scenario A: The future consortia have studied the history of the Football League, have taken notice of the good work Sir Brian Mawhinney and The Football League have done since the ITV Digital collapse and decide to tap into that market.
The Football League will get bigger levels of sponsorship and TV money, Centre of Excellences upgraded, an even distribution of money to League 1 & 2 clubs safeguarding their future, the gulf between Premiership and Championship narrowed in terms of standards and finance.
Scenario B
The consortias long term objective is to be involved with a 2nd Premier League, making the Premier League stronger, devaluing and killing off the Football League and football as it was known.

Interesting post Henry. Scenario B has some validity because of the talk of a possible European Super League but I'm hoping your first prophesy will be what happens - as I'm sure all real fans will as well.

I just really love this guy. Taking a team to the Premier League in 5 seasons is a realistic goal. Wasn't Hull in League Two only 6 years ago? I know its possible...and, if anyone can do it, I believe Sven can. I would actually like to see him take 6 months or so to learn the players in the lower 3 leagues, and then take over the reigns as coach with all player personnel decisions as well. If he is on the sideline, he could make a HUGE difference, I am certain. Good Luck Sven!

I seem to remember them being in the First Division in my time but I could be wrong there.

Maybe I'm wrong, I can't verify it.
Remember those Cobblers in there though & Carlisle and the mighty Swans.
