Galaxy fans didn't say anything when Donovan wanted to stay with Bayern Munich. Beckham has done nothing wrong. Who wouldn't go play for AC Milan if they had the chance? He has only done good for the MLS and that's how they thank him. Beckham will leave again and this time for good.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - David Beckham was ushered away by security guards after he confronted fans who provided an ugly reception for his return to the Los Angeles Galaxy home ground for a friendly against AC Milan on Sunday.
Of course it was an ugly reception - they were all 56 stone Americans.

If Beckham wants to enhance his chances of playing in the 2010 World Cup squad then he should hand in a transfer request and play in the Premiership or with a top European club. Thing is though he won't do that because he will lose out on the revenue and the celeb status in America.
I'd laugh if Beckham doesn't get in the 2010 World Cup squad and Capello opts for someone like Chris Eagles instead.
