A big money spinner will be lost with the demise of Chester so let us hope they survive and allow us the pleasure of beating them once again
Good luck Chester!

How many clubs in total are on the brink now? Absolutely ridiculous when the Premier League could pay off the National Debt.

It seems rather short sighted to me as, if grass roots football clubs disappear, so will the Premier League's nurserys. So many young Prem academy players go out on loan to lower division clubs to gain experience and, of course, many players are bought from them as well.

Membership of the FA is at the discretion of the FA council. By coming out of Administration by being purchased by Chester City 2004 Ltd, their Membership has in effect been transferred to another organisation, which will only be accepted as Members provided there are no football creditors or other creditors are satisfied and evidenced as such.
Therefore it only takes one Football creditor or one non-football creditor to make a complaint to the FA about the current set up and it's curtains for City as they are now.-Source 606

Doesn't it look as if the owner had been planning this? If that company was set up 5 years ago.............

Did Vaughan put Chester City into liquidation before regaining ownership of the club under a new company?

After players going unpaid since October, unable to fulfil the Forest Green and Wrexham fixtures, Chester City FC are expelled from The Conference. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chester/8538236.stmPuts an interesting slant on the Conference North. Could well be two teams to go down meaning Gainsborough are out of the relegation zone and Harrogate Town are 4pts from safety rather than 7pts.
