As long as it doesn't stop us getting the 2018 World Cup.

I don't know, given the choice I'd rather have the country filled with the world's Rugby fans than the worlds Football fans!

The only ones I'd be worried about are Springbok fans from Pretoria. They can get a bit rowdy and slightly racist.

Would a rugby world cup have any bearing on a football one? Do the associations look at what else they have or just go with their own ideas?

I don't known the process but I suppose it would help. It must be looked upon favourably when a country can host an even like this...

Yet another shocking decision by the IRB, passing the World Cup around the old boys once again. This is the second World Cup in a row where Japan has been arse raped out of hosting it by the Rugby old boys club - New Zealand 2011 where Japan's bid was stronger and better for the development and now us in 2015, embarrassing really.
Japan will supposedly host it in 2019, don't hold your breath, France will come in with a bid and get it instead... How can Rugby develop and become more popular worldwide when a country like Japan with great facilities, a population who have a genuine interest in the game and always support their national team massively well with the potential to expand Rugby can't even get the World Cup over the same few nations. Shocking.

Especially after they did so well at staging the Football World Cup as well.

Shocking. France get another World Cup in the space of 12 years in hosting their last one? That would be a scandal. I was secretly hoping that Japan would get the 2015 World Cup. I suppose it was given to England because the 2011 World Cup is in the Eastern half of the World and Gordon Brown is promoting a Golden Decade of Sport in Britain. Developing Rugby nations such as Japan, Argentina, USA, Italy and Portugal should be hosting future World Cups in order to maximise the potential.

Agree 100% Henry, well said sir. Very narrow minded by the IRB so far.
