to Spain?
So many of the big names in the Premier League are being linked with moves to Spain this summer but is it the big transfer fees that are the main reason or the even bigger wages that they offer? Apparently this is the main reason the three Real players Spurs were linked with wouldn't consider it and, at the same time, some of the English based players are complaining that the drop in value of the pound against the Euro has devalued their wages. Forgetting for the time being that if you live & spend it in England nothing has changed we still couldn't match £175K per week without bankrupting the club that agreed to pay it as, obviously, all the other players would expect corresponding wage increases.
We also have to consider the Setanta debacle. Without serious competition are Sky going to be willing to pay the same sort of sums they have been? This, again, will affect the English clubs more than the Spanish and, to top it all, would you rather live & work in Manchester or Barcelona?
So, are we about to see Blatter & Platini's dream of bringing down English football brought to fruition?

No. Perez has come in and spent state money (and shedloads of it) to try and get a few names.
We had this 8 or 9 years ago, but sort of 2003 time is when all these galacticos cleared off.
