Even though they were extremely lucky to get past Chelsea the best team won tonight. Messi, Iniesta and Xavi were awesome while Puyol was magnificently inspiring as usual. They really rose to the occasion while Man U were pedestrian by comparison.

A thoroughly good tattering was given to Manure.
Good to see. Iniesta plays like giving the ball away is a sin.
Anderson is poo, it's the end for Giggs & Scholes too.

Barcelona was far better than Manchester United in winning its third European Cup on Wednesday night. Don't take it from me. Sir Alex Ferguson said as much in his postgame press conference, as he congratulated his opponents on a deserved victory.
Perhaps the greatest testament to the superiority of the Catalans in Rome is that even Ferguson was unable to conjure up any excuses for his side's 2-0 defeat. There was no chirping about the officiating, no moaning about the play-acting of Barcelona's stars.

I think he needs to rebuild the defence & midfield. Van der Saar has been ordinary since his clean sheet run as has Vidic. Scholes & Giggs are both past it &, although I was quite excited by Anderson when I first saw him, he really hasn't progressed. Nani will never be another Ronaldo an while Fletcher & Ji Sung Park are great players they are not in Xavi & Iniesta's class. Mind you, who is?
