Chester have entered administration following a second relegation from the Football League in nine years.
The club, which went down on the final day of the season, have been considering the move this week and confirmed the decision on Sunday.
A statement said: "After discussions with owner Stephen Vaughan, Chester entered voluntary administration in order to safeguard the club's future."

I am certainly not going to gloat...There but for the grace of God and all that.
From what I have read the club must be out of Administration by their annual AGM or the Blue Square have the right not to admit them in the league.

Does that mean they could do a Boston and end up in the Northern Premier? And that's without mentioning the 10 point deduction for entering administration. To think that the top Premiership clubs think the game is in better condition than ever before.....

Another one... This is horrible - if the wealth doesn't started getting shared more equally, everyone below the elite in football is just going to disappear.

I find it hard to see that the Conference won't accept them.
Boston were forced down 2 leagues because of some irregularity

The government's intervention in trying to get the European money shared out is beginning to look, not only sensible, but vital for football to survive.

Admin is horrible for every team and you have to feel sorry for them. Knowing from experience it disheartens the fans, staff and players.
