Did anybody watch the German semi-final? If German League matches are like that I don't know why we think the Premier League is the fastest! Played at a breakneck speed with absolute passion & commitment, plenty of goal attempts, good saves, end to end, and no little skill from a number of players, it was a really exciting match.

The Bundesliga also has some terracing and reasonable ticket prices. To be fair a lot of the other European leagues (including the Premiership) could learn a lot from the Krauts.

Quite true Luke. Some of the terracing prices are as low as €9. Whilst top teams can fill their grounds at current prices even a lot of Premiership teams (e.g. Chelsea & Middlesborough) might benefit from terracing with that sort of pricing structure. As we've discussed elsewhere it would also solve the problem of some fans wanting to stand & others who prefer sitting.
I assume as no replies nobody actually saw this? Real shame as it was pretty special and was a great advert for the role goalkeepers can play in launching attacks. I doubt whether either goalkeeper had the ball in their hands for a total of a minute in the whole match getting rid of it within seconds of taking it. The Werder Bremen keeper preferred kicking it out immediately and, although he wasn't as accurate as Paul Robinson, he did start a couple of effective moves. On the other hand the Hanburg keeper preferred to throw it and was extremely accurate starting numerous counter attacks, one of which led to the goal.
