Barcelona - Chelsea Manchester United - Arsenal
Any predictions? I'm probably not going to be able to watch tonight because of college work that needs to be done. Shame.

I think Barca might score more to be honest...

I hope it's a Barca-Man U final either way, what a beautiful footballing final that would be.

I'm going to go against popular feeling and say I think it will be a Chelsea vs Arsenal final. Barca aren't all that in defence & Hiddink is as wily a manager as there is. Arsenal have nothing else to go for and have improved immensely in recent weeks - although Arshavin's ineligibility is a blow.

Well there's one prediction out of the window, Stealth! Its virtually over at the Emirates now that Man Utd have a 3-0 aggregate lead with just a half remaining.

Game over. 4-0 with just over twenty minutes left.

It was over after 11 minutes - slightly unfortunately for Arsenal. Unlucky slip by Gibbs for the first goal and a typically bought free kick compounded by bad goalkeeping for the second. Bloody awful ref who blew for everything thereby ruining it as a spectacle. Compare that with Howard Webb last week who really let the game flow!

Shame really...apart from Ronaldo's free kick the game was rather boring...

It was wasn't it Otto? Mainly due to Arsenal having the stuffing knocked out of them by the early goals but also because of the ref.

Ridiculously fussy ref and i feel really sorry for Darren Fletcher.

Well I got both my predictions wrong - but this one was a travesty. Interestingly, there was an article about referees being influenced, even subliminally, by Martin Samuel in The Mail when Chelsea played Juventus: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1178248/MARTIN-SAMUEL-No-wonder-refs-pressure-UEFA-president-Platini-shows-true-colours.html He was writing there about Platini and his obvious Juventus bias but it could equally apply to the match last night and even our own against Sevilla a couple of years ago. Without accusing refs of actual cheating, I firmly believe that English clubs will never get justice in Europe whilst Platini is in charge of UEFA & Blatter of FIFA as they so hate our dominance.
