I've copied this from our clubs forum, because basically I agree with it, and id only be repeating what it said anyway;
Sadact expects to get what he wants and when he doesn't he shouts his mouth off about it to anyone willing to listen. It's quite frankly ridiculous and disgraceful that he constantly gets away with such tw*ttish behaviour, I haven't heard others complaining that their matches weren't chosen.
Even more reason to despise the w*nker and his club.

To sum it up in one sentence - it is a total DISGRACE that the TV companies have not selected this game for live coverage.

I've just seen which games are on and it's a disgrace.
Friday 23 January 2009 7.45pm on Setanta Sports Derby County v Nottingham Forest
Saturday 24 January 2009 12.40pm on ITV Hartlepool United v West Ham United
5.15pm on ITV Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur
Sunday 25 January 2009 1.30pm on Setanta Sports Cardiff City v Arsenal
4pm on Setanta Sports Liverpool v Everton
I can sort of understand Cardiff and The merseyside derby but Spurs and United FFS?!?!?!?!

oh no i totally disagree.. spurs man utd has got to be the pic of the round The FA Cup is about shocks, about everyday people playing against giants of the football work, it's David v Goliath, it's people playing against their heroes, it's playing on bobbly mudbaths. The Spurs/Man Utd tie contains none of those things.

It just is, its not the first time he has had a hissy fit because he hasn't got his own way. Fact is I hate K*ttering Town & everything to do with it, they are truly scum. K*ttering fans caused trouble in the first two rounds, so maybe ITV don't want to show their match for that reason.

I highly doubt they avoided showing a game because of a little crowd trouble.
And as a chairman, do you honestly think he'd pass up such an oppurtunity?

I also somehow think that Liverpool vs. Everton would cause more trouble, or have you missed that? weeed off now as Crewe have failed to beat Millwall so I can't go and I can't watch it on TV Well at least I can kill my Crewe supporting mate at least. I can understand the Derby, Liverpool and West Ham games there, but the Cardiff and Spurs??

I never said it was a massive derby, but there is hardly any trouble at Liverpool v Everton. No, I think you have got the wrong end of the stick. I said there is more likely to be trouble at Liverpool vs. Everton than Kettering vs. Fulham because of the derby factor. If they were going on likeyhood of trouble at the games they would not have picked the two derby games in that list, also they have picked Cardiff!!!! I didn't say there WOULD be trouble at all!

I also somehow think that Liverpool vs. Everton would cause more trouble, or have you missed that? Maybe, but It would appeal more to sky or whoever... more so than Kettering vs Fulham. Im not saying they can't voice their opinions, but the fixtures have been decided, and Kettering need to get over it and move on, because they wont change their minds.

That is all true, but that still doesn't mean it isn't a disgraceful decision not to show their match.

To be honest I'm with Dan on this one, Kettering are just complaining for the sake of it - once the matches are chosen they are chosen and you're not going to change their minds, you don't see any other clubs complaining that their matches haven't been picked do you? The bottom line is the only reason they're complaining is because they want the TV money.
I can see what Liam is saying in that it's a classic FA Cup match and would appeal for that, I've no idea why Man Utd v Tottenham has been picked but I can understand why the other 3 have - Cardiff due to their being the chance of an upset (you just know Arsenal are going to send their youth team out, and Cardiff have one of the best home records in the league) and obviously the last two are derbies. It's like how Liverpool v H&W wasn't on TV last season which was absolutely ludicrous.
However there's absolutely no point in the Kettering chairman complaining, it's not going to change anything.

The bottom line is the only reason they're complaining is because they want the TV money. They offered to waive the TV money..... It's like how Liverpool v H&W wasn't on TV last season which was absolutely ludicrous. The only reason that game wasn't on TV was because both teams had replays in the previous round, and the TV companies had to pick their ties before those took place. So, whilst it ended up being Liverpool v H&W, it could have been Luton v Swansea, which certainly shouldn't be on TV!

Why are you speaking as if I wouldn't pick the game? I would!! It's ludicrous that they haven't! What I don't condone is the Kettering chairman's reaction to it - complaining won't get it picked will it? Once the TV games are picked, they are picked.

He stopped complaining weeks ago, Dan seems to think he's going on and on about it when he isn't. I can fully understand why Imraan Ladak moaned about it however....it's total madness it wasn't picked. It's £28 for a ticket!!!!

I knew he hadn't gone on and on, I'm just on about the original reaction. I don't see what moaning about it will achieve as once the games are picked they are picked.
