CARLING CUP (Why can't they just call it The League Cuo again!).
Venue: Vicarage Road Date: Wednesday, 3 December Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Coverage: Live commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live; text commentary on BBC Sport website
Tottenham captain Ledley King will be rested for the Carling Cup quarter-final at Vicarage Road.
Midfielders Jermaine Jenas (toe) and Luka Modric (groin) may not be risked either, while Alan Hutton and Giovani dos Santos definitely miss out.
Watford manager Brendan Rodgers will hand late fitness tests to Jon Harley and Adrian Mariappa.
Leigh Bromby and Matt Sadler are on standby to fill in if necessary, while Liam Bridcutt is available to play.
Watford manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Three Counties Radio:
"I look to these games as a great challenge for me as a manager and for the players.
"You always want to compete and test yourself against the best, if you are prepared to do that you accept the challenge of playing against the likes of Tottenham, who are a massive club.
"It's a game that the majority of people would expect Tottenham to win, for us though it's the possibility to cause an upset and it happens quite a lot with the so-called smaller team."
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp:
"It will be a tough game but league points are all-important to us I think.
"I said it all along - it's the league position that is vital.
"The long-term and most important thing at the club is the Premier League, it's got to be. That is the most important thing by far."
Tottenham (from): Gomes, Cesar, Alnwick, Bale, Gunter, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate, Corluka, Stalteri, Rocha, Zokora, Bentley, Huddlestone, Jenas, Gilberto, O'Hara, Bostock, Lennon, Jenas, Taarabt, Boateng, Ghaly, Bent, Campbell, Pavlyuchenko.
Never thought I'd see Ghaly in a squad again. Shame in a way as he looked to have a lot of skill in early performances.
