It's a no-brainer. you've got to propose and kiss her arse until you've got that Ferrari. Unless she's a Man U fan, in which case wtf are you doing going out with her in the first place.

Oh! You mercenary lot. And Carl - if you went out with a Man U fan you'd be dining on prawn sandwiches in the Ferrari as well.

Says someone who's desperate to get a job - for the fun of it I suppose?
However I agree with you & fullback I'd rather be happy than mollycoddled.

Sorry Fairy but I used to make flippant statements like that - until I went out in to the world & had to pay all the bills & find money to eat etc. etc.
It's like saying I don't have any regrets. So you'll be quite happy when your gran dies regardless of the cause or when the person in front gets the last ticket to a concert you desperately wanted to go to but decided another cup of tea wouldn't make any differnece.

I didn't mean it like that, I meant money doesn't make you happy, yes you need enough to make an easy living...but why would I want a ferrari...it's just a car you can get cheaper ones! I'd buy the ticket online

In that case I admire your thinking & totally agree with you - but that cup of tea could still mean missing the ticket even on line!

I would choose the "Carry on and split even though you'll get nothing", no point staying with someone if you don't love them anymore. No matter how rich they are!

Propose, then get a divorce, throwing a diva strop, and taking the case to court to try and get a share of it

My main source of happiness is enjoying moments with friends and family, a sporting event, inspiring music and a goodnights sleep. Don't need to be rich to do just that.

My main source of happiness is enjoying moments with friends and family, a sporting event, inspiring music and a goodnights sleep. Don't need to be rich to do just that. The funny thing is, you do. Most people on this planet can't afford to listen to music because they can't afford a stereo, let alone electricity. You need to be rich to attend a good sporting event because it costs to get in. Once again, most people on this planet wouldn't be able to afford to attend a Bradford match. And as for a good nights sleep it helps if you have a nice warm house to sleep in The whole point of this thread is to whether to end a relationship, even though your partner has landed a huge windfall. I don't need to be rich to attend a sporting event, listen to music, have a goodnights sleep etc. Whether other people on this planet can afford it or not doesn't come into the equation.
