Has he a reputation for this sort of thing then?

It's why they call him the Holy goalie.
Gerry laps him up.

Basically he is subject to sickening abuse by the rangers fans and other clubs fans but the abuse from the rangers fans is by far the worse and he responds by giving them the finger and the poor wee lambs are offended... :angry THG is mostly adored by a large section of the Celtic support and I am one of them mostly for his goalkeeping abilities, he is the best Keeper I've seen where the jersey.

He's certainly a top keeper Gerry.

He is that Stealth, hopefully he will stay at the Hoops for many a long year but I doubt it, this will probably be his last year before moving to a "top" club!

I was quite surprised that we weren't interested this year actually. Think may be Ramos prefers Latin players as we ended up with a Brazilian - not previously known for their cat like abilities though!

Having seen Gomes against us in the EUFA last season I was a bit worried when we signed him as he'd looked a good shot stopper but not great at commanding the area. However, against Chelsea two weeks ago (don't know if you saw it?) he was brilliant. Caught most things only punching once & that cleared the area and the save was probably as good as we'll see this season. So I'm a bit more convinced by Brazilian keepers now!

That's good to hear Gerry as obviously they'll have seen him a lot. Looking forward to seeing Pavyluchenko play on Monday after your evaluation of him.
Who's your next opponents?

We are away to Motherwell tomorrow which will probably prove a difficult game but *fingers crossed* we should sneak it 2 or 3 1 Think you'll beat Villa, and Roman is going to be one of the best strikers in the league once he gets used to his surroundings

Are you going to the match?
Hope you're right about Pav but he may take a while to settle - and he's already played nearly a full Russian season so it may be next year before he makes an impact. Come January though I think he might have his compatriot with him as I doubt we've given up on Arshavin but I think £16m is a more realistic price than the £22m Zenit want. After all, he's actually more of an attacking midfielder than striker & Pav (who is a striker) only cost £13.8m .

Yeah I'll be going through tom it, hopefully a good result to launch the holiday week for me Yeah dont think the Arshavin deal is dead, and depending how Zenit get on in the CL you might get him in January

Almost a local derby for you. Does that add any spice to the matches?
