The Club can confirm that goalkeeper Antti Niemi has decided to retire from professional football.
Antti joined Fulham in January 2006 and made 62 appearances for the Whites during his two and half years at Craven Cottage.
Prior to joining Fulham Antti enjoyed successful spells in the Premier League and SPL with Southampton, Hearts and Rangers.
He is widely regarded as Finland's best ever goalkeeper and held the number one jersey for his nation for more than a decade, earning 67 caps.
Fulham Football Club would like to thank Antti for his services and wish him every success for the future.

I like Antti Niemi. Only moved clubs when forced to and a really nice bloke by all accounts. It's a shame Fulham went and signed three keepers who are inferior to his ability (I don't think Schwarzer, Stockdale or Zuberbuhler are as good as him).
