"Dear Mr Ashley, many thanks for ensuring Tottenham are kept off the back pages as the most shambolic club in the premier league. Many's the times you've bailed us out when things looked bleak. Here's hoping your club does not follow your drinking technique - down in one"
Quote from a fan in The Telegraph!

Messiah 1 Wise man 0?
Speculation was rife on Wednesday evening that one of the major obstacles to Kevin Keegan remaining in charge of Newcastle United could soon be removed - with the departure of Dennis Wise from the club.
As soon as any confirmation - or denial - of this so-far unsubstantiated rumour is forthcoming we'll add more.
Different sources claim different recent transfer -related events to have been the trigger for the rows at SJP: the sale of Milner, attempts to flog Barton, Owen, claims that any of the squad were available and the failure to sign players in the positions identified by Keegan as priorities.
What seems beyond question now though is that one of the two will be departing. And unlike KK, there are no crowds of chanting fans with flags and banners outside the ground in support of Wise - or in the dressing room.
hmm.. dont know what to believe tbh.

The future of Kevin Keegan at Newcastle United continues to be shrounded in mystery as he continues to stay away from the club's training ground.
Keegan has been unseen on Tyneside since Monday, with Tuesday seeing an outpouring of Geordie grief amdid reports that Keegan had been sacked by owner Mike Ashley after a row with sporting director Dennis Wise and managing director Derek Lambias over transfer policy.
Despite a public statement from the club that Keegan remains boss of the club, it seems likely that he will soon once again become an ex-boss of the club, with his continuing absence adding to that seeming inevitability.
Predecessor Glenn Roeder, sacked by the club in the summer of 2007, just prior to Ashley's takeover of the club, spoke of his dismay at the chaos the club finds itself in.
Roeder, currently in charge at Norwich, told BBC Radio Five Live: 'The club is a tragedy and it goes from one disaster to another.
'There's no stability at the club and I don't think there has been for a long time. They go from one manager to another and the people who suffer the most are the most important people, the supporters.
Roeder added: 'When they talk about Newcastle being a great club, it's only great for one reason - because it has great supporters.'
To see all this happening is so sad. You wonder how any club could be run to the extent that the manager's position as a coach is being undermined by his own people. As they say with friends like these you don't need enemies. Newcastle is surely one sad and sorry excuse for a supposedly great football club.........

That's the job he was brought in to do.
You can only blame the employers if you don't agree with it.

If you believe the bollocks that Mike Ashley has said since he took over then you need a serious reality check. They said Wise was brought in to bring youth players through but he was brought in just to get a feel for the club and make the decisions behind Keegan's back. They have been priming him to become their next manager.

As was discussed on another thread I can't see why you even need a "Director of Football". Most aspects of the job can quite easily be covered by others and it's amazing how many times the appointment of one has caused havoc at a club.

if john williams brought players ince didnt want would you blame if he walked? That might be a good way of getting rid of him if he gives Robbie Fowler a contract.
