Japan discovered the Gulf Jet Stream - & used it to send bomb laden balloons to the USA in 1944.

I learnt yesterday that getting thoroughly bladdered the night before and then sleeping off the subsequent hangover the following morning is a BRILLIANT way of making a stupidly long journey pass by in a flash.

Adlington is terrible looking, big nose. I thought you had more taste than that!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone I speak to says she is ugly, but I like her. And whilst she may be taken herself, there is a bird who works at Weatherspoons who looks just like her, I might try my luck next week

It's a shame really, but I've lost all motivation to run this place any more.

I think part of the trouble is, that it's supposed to be a football forum but very few members take any interest in anybody elses's teams so there's no real discussion. Every one ends up talking to themselves on their individual team's thread.

You are spot on there mate and that certainly needs addressing. You could argue we are too polite with each other.I am not saying we should go out to upset someone, but there is no harm with healthy debate...

Totally agree Otto. No need to slag each others teams off but you can still take an interest in how they're doing and discuss players, managers, current fortunes etc. without getting in to rows about it. Nick used to post on a lot of clubs sites & I had some good discussions with him about both Birmingham & Spurs.

Maybe you should get some new members, as people seem to be leaving and no one new comes in...

Well I am prepared to give it a go...It's up to the rest of you...
Olly has been very honest with his comments about how he feels I think we should do the same and make or feelings known.

I for one would still like to keep it going. I can understand Olly & some of the younger ones moving on as you don't stick at anything much as a teenager but we still have a hardcore membership. Not sure how to go about getting new members as I sometimes think it's a bit daunting for them when everybody else appears to know each other so well (I know it was for me when I joined another well established forum)..

After looking back on what I said I don't actually think the forum is dying.
We still have most of the core of regulars left and if we give this place some good discussion to liven the place up eg. like the RHF manager that failed to take off but stil created traffic, then we could get it back up to how it was.
The end of year awards are still going ahead which should generate internest hopefully as well.

Hopefully the awards may bring some missing members back as it was very enjoyable last year.

Nick used to post on a lot of clubs sites & I had some good discussions with him about both Birmingham & Spurs. Nick is still about and I talk to him practically every day, I think his computer experiences some difficulties when coming on to RHF. I'll have a word with him. As you all know I've had some difficulty keeping ITS and the Prediction League up to date but I've got that sorted now. It's a case of A-levels coming first now but I do try my best to get some posts in - before I head off to sixth form tomorrow I'll drop a few advertisements about on 606 and see what that does for us.

I think that is very true tbh, I am a member of the County forum (yellowboard) and they struggle to get new members on as its very clicky and if you don't know the others (members) well then your views/topics tend not to be read, even if its a better topic than what one of the regulars would write!.
