I hope for the sake of the audiences attention span that it's Liverpool who go through and not Chelsea.
What would you rather have:
Chelsea v Man Utd. A repeat of that dire FA Cup Final, with both teams not willing to risk it against Chelseas defensive tactics.
OR
Liverpool v Man Utd. The biggest rivalry in English football. The two most successfull clubs in English history. Both teams will put their bodies on the line to win.
Anyone who wants the first option is CRAZY!

I don't know Fez, after that Premier league battle things may be a bit more heated than you think.

Don't think the Moscow authorities will relish it one way or the other particularly if it's Liverpool.
It'll kick off fine style and the Muscovite police will not be shy retiring types either.

Just watched a report on BBC news, aparently a trip to the final is going to cost £951 at the minimum. That's without tickets to the match, food, drink and travel in the city.

I agree Otto - but I fervently hope I'm wrong as I also agree with Fez's assessment of the likely watchability of the match if it's Chelsea. Plus I don't want to sit through possibly 120 minutes of Drogba rolling around the pitch or Terry moaning at the ref.
Thought Man u were magnificent again last night. Evra, Tevez, Park and, unbelievably, Brown were all tireless & didn't put a foot wrong & Ferdinand is finally proving he is the best English centreback week in week out (until Ledley gets fully fit anyway!). Barca may have had most of the possession but United always looked more likely to score on their infrequent breakaways due to their much more direct approach.

So who will win...? It is 12 years since United beat Liverpool 1-0 in the FA Cup Final. That was the last time United beat one of the Big EPL Four in a cup final...... Since then they have lost everytime they've come up against either Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. They are on a hot losing streak. They lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the Worthington (League) Cup final in 2003; on penalties to Arsenal in the FA Cup Final in 2005; and last year they went down 1-0 to Chelsea, late in extra time in yet another FA Cup Final...... What stands out from these results is the fact that United, normally a free scoring side against lesser opposition, failed to hit the back of the net once in almost 6 hours of football. That is a long time to go without being able to conjure a single goal.......... What do you think Chelsea must do in Moscow to preserve United's dismal record? Flood the midfield with strong, powerful athletes to over-run United, seize the initiative, keep possession and pressurize United's back four? What would your Chelsea line-up be? On the other hand, how should Fergie approach Chelsea tactically? Has he finally got the tactical nous to outwit the Chelsea coaches? Or once again, are United fans going to have to walk away from a Cup Final against a big EPL team empty-handed? One thing's for sure, United will not be able to over-power Chelsea, they'll have to outwit them to win. Ferguson's record makes it doubtful that he can do it. What tactics would you use? What United team what you pick to do the job?Do you care....? Let's hear from you guys. Chelsea and United supporters for sure, but also what about you neutrals looking enviously on, like our Gooner friends, and recently departed Scousers. What do you think? I think if Chelsea are to win, they will have to come at United from every angle. Ballack and Lamps will have to drive forward and Essien and Makelele will need to charge from box to box. This will keep United from getting into their rhythm and give Chelsea the upper hand. I think that for once, the attacking team will dictate the flow of the game, rather than the defensive team. Well, at least I hope......

I'd find it harder to accept watching Ferguson lift it. I don't really mind if Chelsea win it if it means stopping Utd winning it. Let's face it we all bang on about them playing boring football and buying trophies so it matters little that they add another one to their collection. For alot of the players it will be their last trophy at Chelsea before moving on. Man utd though have a greater tradition and fanbase and will continually bleat on about it if they win- totally insufferable. I'd rather Avram won it than Fergie - anyday. Come on Chelsea

Come on Chelsea Name me a team that wins trophies that doesn't buy them? Blackburn had this poo thrown at them years ago, Utd have been buying trophies for years and Chelsea, Liverpool and to a lesser extent Arsenal are at it too. Newcastle try to buy trophies but nobody is selling to them!

Sorry Otto but I prefer an attacking team to a defensive one any day of the week so I think Chelsea winning it would be detrimental to football as a whole.

Man Utd for me as well, I just can't stand Chelsea in general (they're down there with Albion). What they did to Mourinho was simply unacceptable and their players all have nasty habits (Terry moaning at the ref, Drogba diving at every opportunity). Man Utd also play by far and out the best football and IMO have better players, or at the very least their players get the best brought out of them by their manager. When I read Avram's comments the other day about Chelsea playing the best football all season I nearly snorted Coca Cola through my nose, oh please, best football? If best football is going 1-0 up and shutting up shop for the rest of the match then yes Chelsea are amazing at it. I just can't stand their brand of football, I can't even bare to watch them live on TV because I just find it that painful to watch. The FA cup final last year was the absolute perfect example of how god awful their football is.
