Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant will miss the game against his old side Arsenal after suffering a hamstring injury against them on Saturday. Daniel Agger and Harry Kewell remain long-term absentees but otherwise boss Rafa Benitez has a full squad and Javier Mascherano is certain to play. Robin van Persie is in Arsenal's squad despite injuring a thigh in the first leg and Abou Diaby is available too. But Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky may not play again this season.

Oh....it's an 3/4 of an hour before KO......mmmmm...errrr...Liverpool will go through because Benitez will use Crouch to aerially bombard the Arsenal defence. As seen against Chelsea, the Gunners find it difficult when faced with this approach. This tactic I feel will almost certainly see Liverpool through. If Lpool come away with a score draw from the Emirates then I’ll be even more confident that they will see it through at Anfield....... It will obviously be a tight affair but Liverpool’s experience in this competition outweigh’s Arsenal’s and that will be decisive.......... 1-0 Scousers........I think....

Oh I can’t compare Alonso with Fabregas. The only thing Alonso pretty much does is score fluke goals from midfield once every blue moon’s against first division clubs........
No one really gives a monkey's about international caps nowadays except for the English press (they are already on top of Capello now that the honeymoon period is over). Flamini is: a better player, has more stamina & doesn’t get red carded.......oh pooty poo pooter......

Anyway the Scousers will do what they usually do - play really well in Europe and they are at Anfield, so i reckon a 2-0 win for the Scousers, hoping Arsenal win though.

Right......end it here Bissy....once again I am over-analysing things.....Arsenal will come out winners at Anfield, though it will be very close. they will win by two goals to one. But Wenger should get rid of guys like Bendtner and bring more productive players in the squad........

Liverpool 4-2 Arsenal (agg 5-3)
Liverpool set up a Champions League semi-final with Chelsea after a stunning late win over Arsenal.
Abou Diaby put Arsenal into an early lead but Sami Hyypia lost Phillipe Senderos to head an equaliser.
Fernando Torres looked to have settled the tie when he turned and drilled into the top corner only for Emmanuel Adebayor to level.
But Kolo Toure fouled Ryan Babel and Gerrard held his nerve from the spot before Babel added a fourth.
It was an extraordinary end to a wonderful European tie at Anfield.
The two sides, who have faced each other three times in six days, saved their best for last in a game that was full of drama from start to finish.
Both sides played as if there season was on the line and it led to a pulsating cup tie.
Arsenal looked like they had a new lease of life from the side that started their game at the weekend.
It was little surprise when they went in front through Diaby, who was making his return to the side.
He burst into the box to get on the end of Hleb's pass and drove a low shot that Reina could only help into the net.
The goal seemed to energise Arsenal further and it was Liverpool who were beginning to look jaded.
But the Gunners were made to pay after half an hour when Senderos was caught flat footed and Hyypia had the freedom of the Anfield penalty box to head past Cesc Fabregas and in off the post.
It was Liverpool's turn to have the upper hand and they went ahead with a superb strike from Torres.
Rafa Benitez's decision to partner Peter Crouch with Torres had looked like a tactical blunder at the start, but it was a pairing that combined for their second goal.
Crouch's flick on was latched onto Torres, who turned and shot in an instant to send the Kop into delirium.
Adebayor was just off target from Emmanuel Eboue's cross but Arsenal looked dead on the ropes.
But Theo Walcott's introduction revitalised their hopes and he ran from inside his own half and into Liverpool's box before squaring for Adebayor to tap in.
But straight away Liverpool went down the other end and Babel was adjudged to have been brought down by Toure.
Gerrard made no mistake from the spot, firing into the top corner.
There was even time for Babel to run clear and add a fourth - and perhaps ease the pain of the penalty decision for the visitors.
It was a cruel exit for Arsenal but there was no denying it was Liverpool's night.

Cheating Scouse scumbags For the umpteemth time, it was a stone wall penalty. Yet again, Liverpool highlight the fact that when it comes to European Cup Knock-Outs they are the MASTERS. People have too often put it down as "flukey". Well, let's look at the facts shall we. In the past 3 years in the Champions League they have beaten: Chelsea (Twice) AC Milan Inter Milan Juventus Barcelona Arsenal While Arsenal with their pretty boy football, while easy on the eye, has won them admirers, but essentially has won them a big fat Zero in the trophy department.

Smashing game...Walcotts goal was splendid..Wanted Liverpool to win in a way..might go easy on us in a few weeks time seeming they probably won't have to rely on final position in the Prem to qualify again
