www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A52584456£646 for a season ticket in League 1, most premiership clubs are cheaper than that. 2 words come to mind (and its not monkey'sing and Tossers) Credit Crunch Suppose Bates doesn't realise this though in his own little world.

I think Bates is playing on the fact that most Leeds fans still think they are in the Premiership

Whatever happens their will still be Leeds fans living in the past. The worst thing about it is that they still think teams class them as their Cup Final!!!
As for the season tickets Leeds fans will buy 'em in force like they always do...

£646 for League One football? Disgraceful That's only £50 or so more than the most expensive seat at Withdean. Not that that makes it right of course.

The most expensive Wolves seat is £630, which is pretty ridiculous.

You're telling me that it costs upwards of £500 to sit in a temporary stand with no roof, with an athletics track diving the players and the pitch? I hope you lot had stamina for the pitch invasion at the back end of last season.

Yup, my dad's season ticket for this year is something like £485 if I remember right, which is in the South Stand (main uncovered stand). The central seats in the North Stand (the one with a roof) is around £600 for an adult. Luckily, they do U21 rates - I got two seasons next to my dad for £265.

Barely 20,000 turned up for L**ds-Bradford in the Johnstone Paints Trophy and 4500 were Bradford support, ticket prices were a "bargain" £15. I know a L**ds fan that only goes to away games because it's so expensive to go to Elland Road.

Something's wrong when it's cheaper to go to away matches then home!

They got 20,000 through the turnstiles for the first round of the JPT, that is INCREDIBLE. Several teams literally don't get 1,000 people for those games, and I'd imagine that if you looked at the record books, that will be the highest attendance for a fixture at that stage of that competition by a million miles.
