By the way, if we're gonna pretend to be some sort of superhero duo on this quest I call dibs on the hero and you can be the sidekick. Robin to my Batman if you will (without the latent homosexuality though...) ;D

I've missed you all. I took a look on here ages ago and it was dead, quite sad to see, but it's back now!
Desktop Hoggy - if you're sampling the 'delights of Northampton', you'll manage it in 20 minutes

19 minutes longer than Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Llandudno combined. Other counties in Division Two are lucky to have play Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens. The trip to Colwyn Bay was so bad that we left a day earlier than planned to avoid suicidal tendencies, those places make Bradford look like a premier nightlife venue.

Any of the Northampton fans making the pilgrimage to Valley Parade for the FA Cup replay?

Stealth: What a shame! Looks like I missed a mini reunion. I often think of the folk I met on here and check back very occassionally just in case. Glad to see everyone is doing well although I still see some of you on Facebook.
Oh well - may be there'll be another! Happy Xmas and New Year to anyone who pops in.

Popped back to try and find that legendary Talksport magazine spoof interview about Fernando Torres not being able to score, only to find Talksport have actually removed said video!

Shame that mini revival never got anywhere as it was good to see what was happening with some of you 3 years ago. It could never be as busy as in it's heyday but it would be great if people popped in with updates occasionally.
My life has changed very little other than not spending any where near as much time on the computer. Will be an official pensioner in two months time (still hard to believe) but am enjoying life more than ever - especially Spur's current season! Are we finally going to overcome that inevitable end of season fall off and finish in the top 4? If there's any justice we will as by far one of the best squads in the Premier League even if not built with foreign mega millions.
Anyway, hope some more of you will pop back and good luck to all of you in your personal lives and, most of all, with your teams fortunes.

Thought i'd type in Red Hot Soccer on the search engine and see if anyone has posted since. Feels like a completely era, but at the same time "Where has the time gone?" Like Stealth - not much life changing other than two different jobs and going on a trip to New Zealand for 3 weeks last year, though I do hope to go back again in the future for a longer stay. Cheers for the well wishes Stealth on my teams fortunes - it would be fantastic if Yorkshire win the County Championship for the 3rd time in a row

Was bored this evening and remembered this place. Not posted on here in a few years - how about a little update?!
I managed to become a sports reporter and cover on the Cobblers' best season in 30 years for the Northampton Herald & Post. What a privilege it was to report on my beloved team as we stormed to the League Two title in a campaign that will truly stay with me for a lifetime.
Sadly, as is the way with the newspaper industry at the moment, my newspaper has just closed down. Just managed to cover us playing Man Utd before it closed! Thankfully I'm starting another job as a news reporter in the next few days and I'm back to being a regular NTFC fan now, which means I can drink and shout at the referee again!
See you all in a few years. Must be coming up to a ten year reunion soon...

It's that boring time of year again when everybody and their grandmother is either linked with joining or, in Spurs case, with leaving your team but there is no actual football being played. Seems that even the lull has not revived interest which is a shame.
Hope everyone's life is still on track and long may it remain so.

So folks: I thought I would pop back on a slow day at the office. It has been nearly thirteen years now since we created this board? Wow! This part of my life seems a lifetime ago now.
In ten years I've managed to graduate twice (BA and MA) in English Lit, and secure a job as Marketing Manager at a theatre. Soon to be a new job role that pays a few extra £'s in a restructure - so that's quite nice. I had a brief flirtation with a PhD and getting into academia, but nothing came of that. Although I did manage to publish some of my work in an academic journal: so that was pretty cool.
I also have a mortgage now, with a great boyfriend and two loveable if not overly boisterous dogs.
Oh: and Wolves went down to League One, got back into the Championship, taken over by rich Chinese people and are now signing the likes of Ruben Neves! Madness! And we're going on a European tour - even more madness!

I'm back as well, had a reminder of a discussion on twitter via timehop, wondered if this place was still around and it is!
Since 2012 I've had a job working at The Original Factory shop. For those who don't know, it sells clothes, shoes/trainers, kitchen accessories, make up accessories among other things.
Still living at home! We have since had two dogs Bailey, a border collie and Max a golden retriever.
Bad news now, I had an epileptic seizure in January of 2017, am on medication for it now. I was actually born with it, thought I was seizure free, but had a few seizures over the years caused by stress. The January 2017 one was caused by a work colleague, who unfortunately is still there(but he's hopefully leaving soon!)
