Unlucky for the Lions but the pack, and Phil Vickery in particular, were raped by the Boks in the first half - it was shocking. Jones and williams did well after coming on as subs and seemed to sort the pack out a bit.

Possibly an international career ending performance from "The (once) Raging Bull".

What a game of rugby yesterday.I was glued to the screen. The only thing that marred a great game was the Burger gouge-shocking.

I'm shocked by what Schalk Burger did. I was a massive fan of his before this incident. I've always regarded him as a great player who played Rugby in the right way: he'll hurt his opponents as much as possible but legally. He also wasn't afraid to put himself on the line for the team. This has just made me lose all respect for him. Having said that, I have even less respect for the Springboks coach after the comments he made about the incident. The SARU shouldn't have to step in and apologise for their head coach being an imbecile. Eight weeks isn't a long enough ban for this sort of thing.
Also, why the hell did Bakkies Botha get a ban for his clear-out on Adam Jones? If he hadn't injured the bloke he wouldn't have been banned. There's nothing wrong with it in my view.

I've always thought Burger was a dirty player, a beast but dirty. I'm still a little shocked at the gouge though, i didn't think he would sink that low but apparently i was wrong.
Anyway, the Lions won the third test, too little too late in all reality but a nice consolation nonetheless i guess.

Nah, never seen him actually foul someone. Yes, he always cheats by handling the ball off his feet etc', but which great Openside doesn't? That is part of the game, for Opensides. Gouging isn't.
