Well I think the claim is that the position of astral bodies affects environmental conditions related to personality and temperament. It just happens to be highly likely to be wrong!!

Does happiness exist? If the answer is yes, how can we reach it?

Well first you must describe what happiness is. After doing that you have to determine that it does exist as how else would you be able to describe it if you havent felt it at some point. How to reach it is by thinking of when you were happiest and what made you happy and trying to repeat these things, also you can do what a friend described to me as neural linguistic programming (sp!) which is bascially put happy thoughts in your head and you'll be happy but sad things in and you'll be sad!

Surely happiness is too broad a range of things to be able to define exactly? And even within each part of that range are different levels of happiness.

Happiness is subjective surely and can be achieved simply by being happy with your lot?

A person can only deem something as "happy" or "good" once it is complete, such is life. It's like this. Say you're watching a football game, do you stop at halftime and say "Well, that was a good game"? No, nothing can be deemed good until it is in retrospect.

I disagree, you can still be happy after a half of football.
Wrexham are winning against Barcelona at half time (bear with me!). Are you happy? I would imagine so.

Can you prove that you exist to anyone but yourself?
For all I know, I'm the only sentient being in the Universe, and everyone else is just a giant computer programme...?

I'll tell you from recent experience! When we were 3-0 up against Man U at half time I was ecstatic. At the end of the game which we'd lost 3-5 I was suicidal!

As long as you can believe that you have it, happiness is always there. But if you keep thinking this way, you are sure to be lost in a sea of misery?
